Skene Design is an active supporter of USFIRST robotics community.
FIRST was founded in 1989 to inspire young people's interest and participation
in science and technology.
In his own words, Dean Kamen founded USFIRST:
"To transform our culture by creating a world where science and
technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and
technology heroes."
Skene Design founder and CEO, Jerry Skene, has mentored
the Chantilly Robotics team, Team #612, for many years. The team has won several Chairman's awards and Jerry himself has won a Woody Flowers top mentor award.
